It’s been an absolute pleasure to partner with Activision and ESL to help usher in a new era of Call of Duty esports. Timed with the release of Black Ops 3, Call of Duty World League represents an elevated focus on professional gaming, bringing a new level of production value and intensity which is more commonly found in traditional pro sports. Taking cues from Black Ops and the new COD World League brand, we created a dark, stylized environment that feels both digital and gritty while having a level of polish that feels more like sports graphics. In addition to all of the animations for the live broadcasts, we also had a hand in creating the live stage graphics used when teams are playing on site. As loyal Call of Duty fans / players, this project has been amazing, and also helps to justify all the hours we spend playing Black Ops 3. ; ) Much love to everyone at Activision and ESL, and to Echolab for the sound design and original music.
